Game 6 has often played a pivotal role in past World Chess Championships. It was observed in past matches, that the winner of Game 6 has gone on to claim the title. Keeping this in mind, fans were excited to see who would win this historically crucial game. Ding chose to play the London system which brought him victory in the last match. While the London System is rarely seen in World Championship matches, Ding decided to try it again for the second time. Gukesh, on the other hand, decided to test his opponent in an unexpected way.
